The Brazoria County Petrochemical Council (BCPC) represents 28 leading businesses rooted in Brazoria County’s chemical and petrochemical sector. Our membership includes companies that manufacture, refine, convert, store, and transport the energy and chemical products essential to daily life and global progress.

BCPC member companies produce thousands of raw materials and intermediate products that improve quality of life and support modern living. These materials enable clean water and energy systems; food‑safe packaging; hygiene products such as soap and deodorant; essential pharmaceuticals; clothing and textiles; digital connectivity; life‑saving medical devices; building and home‑efficiency materials; automotive components; and heating and cooling systems—plus countless other products people rely on every day.

The annual economic output for the companies associated with the BCPC is $12+ billion. The total economic impact of the industry supported is $24 billion in total spending. 

Through its member companies, BCPC employs 12,259 full-time direct employees, 75% of them living in Brazoria County. For every job created directly by the industry, another 2.85 jobs are created, resulting in 39,995 indirect and induced jobs.
